Who We Are
About Us
After building independent careers in session work, modelling and commercial music, Stoppard and Lee joined forces to bridge classical strings and rock music, becoming the official face of international channel C Music TV. Running their instruments through the same effects chains as an electric guitar, FUSE modify the traditional violin sound to mirror the power and versatility of the stage.
FUSE are also known for their collaborations with luxury brands — performing on Swarovski crystal-covered violins, and partnering with British jewellery designer Theo Fennell and Bridge Violins to create the world’s first 24-carat gold skull violins.
Linzi Stoppard
Playing classical violin from age four at the prestigious Suzuki School, Linzi was spotted by a producer in a London studio in her late teens and went on to front "Tattoo of Pain", touring America and Japan with acts like The Cult and Killing Joke before turning to rockier, edgier violin.
She is signed to Models1 Special Division, a Prince's Trust Ambassador, and the daughter-in-law of playwright Sir Tom Stoppard and health expert Dr. Miriam Stoppard OBE.
Ben Lee
Given his first violin at five by his guitarist father — who worked with Pink Floyd and Humble Pie — Ben won a competition on Sky's The Children's Channel at 11 and was later named the Daily Telegraph's Young Jazz Composer of the Year at 16.
A Royal College of Music graduate, he built a reputation as the go-to session violinist for Arctic Monkeys, Amy Winehouse, Gorillaz and Goldfrapp, and scored music for the film Nowhere Boy before forming FUSE.
